Sections 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4 discuss measuring the fit of models, logistic regression diagnostics, and variable selection, respectively. Analysis of variance type models are examined in Sect. 4.5 for responses with two categories and in Sect. 4.6 for responses with more than two categories. Section 4.7 examines the analysis of retrospective studies via logistic discrimination; the distinction between retrospective and prospective studies is discussed in the next subsection.
