Introduction

This chapter presents a brief overview of the common law trust and the theories of its origin (Roman, Germanic, Roman-Germanic, Islamic). It describes language and law as the interwoven dynamic phenomena that are the results of a historical evolution, which did not happen on its own. The chapter briefly overviews the content of the book.
