And Now, Pay Me!
摘要
Unlike traditional businesses, the Godfather firm doesn’t operate on transactions of goods alone; instead, it demands reciprocal favors, emphasizing respect and engagement. Customer participation is crucial in Godfather Marketing. Primary methods of payment include committed partnerships, where customers return favors in exchange; purchasing the Godfather firm’s products and services, framed as a privilege rather than an obligation; and payment of a fee, as a form of recognition and solidarity (akin to the mafia’s concept of “pizzo”). Additional methods of payment involve acquiring expert opinions, where clients offer their expertise in return for favors; bartering, where goods or services are exchanged instead of money; indirect recruitment, expanding the firm’s network of allies; and mixed forms of the previous options. In Godfather Marketing, consumers become “prosumers”, actively participating in the firm’s activities and network. For younger generations, this model resembles a gamified experience, fostering a sense of belonging and loyalty.
