Putting Together, Summing Up
摘要
The structure of this book, in which the distinct categories of formal aesthetic attractions have been treated separately, may have given the false impression that these attractions also tend to occur neatly separated. To correct that, the following concluding section brings some examples of integral analyses—in which it becomes clear that attractions of the different kinds we have considered (affective, structural and semioticsemiotic attraction) constantly occur together and intertwine, and that in fact these three categories, and their subcategories, often overlap.
