Virtual reality (VR) technology has emerged as a promising tool for enhancing human experiences and addressing various psychological challenges. This research abstract reviews VR’s potential to promote positive emotions, analyzing its effectiveness, benefits, and limitations in various disciplines, focusing on happiness, joy, relaxation, and overall well-being. Positive emotions promote resilience and mental health and prevent stress, while negative emotions cause emotional disorders. Therefore, finding effective methods to promote positive emotions is vital for individual and societal well-being. Virtual Reality’s immersive and interactive nature has been utilized in mental health interventions, therapeutic settings, and emotional regulation exercises. Studies show promising results in promoting positive emotions, such as relaxation experiences that reduce stress and anxiety levels. VR therapy provides safe, guided environments for individuals to confront fears, improving emotional well-being.
