BIMANIC: AI-Driven Personalized Education Guidance for Higher Education in Oman

The rapid change in the higher education sector urges for improved and personalized guidance to help students select courses that align with their interests, skills, and career goals. This chapter introduces a novel AI-driven education guidance indicator known as the BIMANIC model, developed specifically for Oman. The model employs deep learning techniques, specifically artificial neural networks (ANN), to analyze enormous amounts of educational data and provide individualized recommendations for courses and learning resources. The BIMANIC model seeks to revolutionize the conventional educational framework and nurture a dynamic youth that contributes to the vision of the nation by guiding them to choose their preferred subject areas for pursuing higher education. With an impressive accuracy rate of 98%, the BIMANIC model showcases its ability to accurately predict students’ future educational opportunities and recommend appropriate programs. The model is now available to all students in Oman through deployment on the Amazon Web Services platform, providing valuable insights for students, parents, and teachers to optimize educational outcomes. By guiding students’ educational journeys and ensuring they make informed decisions, the BIMANIC model has the potential to shape the future of the nation. To maintain its accuracy and relevance, further developments are recommended. Integrating this AI-based model into the educational system can significantly contribute to students’ achievement of their goals and advance the development of the nation.
