Systematic Review of the Use of Machine Learning in Higher Education

Today, artificial intelligence, including machine learning, is considered a significant driver of change in many industries, including telecommunications, construction, transportation, healthcare, manufacturing, advertising, and education. Artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly important role in higher education as it allows students to take a personalized approach to learning tasks based on their unique experiences and preferences. Artificial intelligence-based digital learning solutions allow for customization to the educational level, pace of learning, and desired goals of students. Despite the many advances of machine learning, its potential is still underutilized in education. Therefore, this paper analyzes the information environment, which is the most basic aspect of education, particularly the information environments developed by or using machine learning system. As a result of the system analysis, an environment has been developed consisting of departments such as video recognition, proctoring, audio recognition, and chatbot. The system analysis resulted in the development of an environment consisting of departments such as video recognition, proctoring, audio recognition, and chatbot. Therefore, the purpose of the article is to analyze the information environments created by machine learning and develop an information environment. The information environment was tested by students of educational programs “6B01511-Informatics,” “7M01511-Informatics,” and “7M01525-STEM-education” of L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The developed information educational environment allows future teachers of informatics to form their knowledge and skills in the field of machine learning.
