Common Roots but Different Paths of Regionalism and Regional Self-Government in South-East Europe

The countries of South-East Europe that were created on the territory of the former Yugoslavia and which are the subject of this comparison, although they came from the same institutional framework, have gone through a different development path in terms of the organization of government at the middle level. The chapter deals with the analysis of these differences, identifies development trends and establishes conclusions derived from studies of individual cases and cross-cutting issues.
