Conjectures and Counterexamples in Grothendieck’s Work in Functional Analysis
摘要
Alexandre Grothendieck’s work in functional analysis is an important yet often overlooked aspect of his mathematical legacy. This paper aims to examine part of his work in this area, in the field of tensor products to be exact, together with a conjecture he set forth in his Thesis. We are particularly interested in the role that counterexamples and conjectures played in the development of the field.
