Utilizing blue resources, including ocean energy, offshore wind energy, and blue biomass, presents a promising avenue for generating renewable energy. This paper explores the potential of harnessing energy from these resources and examines the advantages, challenges, and current developments in this field. Blue resources offer significant benefits, such as abundance, predictability, and low environmental impact, making them attractive alternatives to traditional fossil fuels. Nevertheless, to fully exploit their capabilities, it is imperative to tackle obstacles such as exorbitant upfront expenses, technological constraints, and ecological considerations. Various technologies, such as tidal energy, wave energy, offshore wind farms, and blue biomass production, are actively utilized in global projects. These technologies are constantly progressing because of ongoing research and development endeavors. The potential of blue resources in the renewable energy sector is extremely promising, as growth projections indicate substantial expansion soon. Advanced wave energy converters and floating offshore wind platforms are expected to improve the efficiency and feasibility of utilizing blue resources. The growth of this sector is heavily influenced by policy and regulatory frameworks, which are instrumental in shaping the investment landscape through government incentives and environmental regulations. Ultimately, despite the obstacles, the future of renewable energy derived from blue resources appears promising, presenting a viable and ecologically sound resolution to the global energy crisis.
