An Energy Optimization Clustering Methods for Homogeneous Networks of Wireless Sensors

Clustering algorithms play an important role in reducing usage of energy extending a network’s lifespan in homogeneous wireless sensor networks. The conventional Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy with Low Energy (LEACH) is improvised in this article with two new clustering strategies. An optimum routing has been developed. These two algorithms exhibited better performance when compared to other algorithms. From the simulation, it is inferred that apart from extending network lifetime and optimum routing, these algorithms have transferred more data packets from cluster goes to sensor nodes, and from there to base stations when compared with the other existing algorithms. This feature has not been mentioned so far.
