Computer Vision-Based Speed Tracking and Dynamic Exceed Limit System

In order to monitor traffic speeds in real time & enforce variable speed restrictions, this project presents a revolutionary method based on computer vision technology. By using sensors & imaging algorithms, the program is able to calculate a vehicle’s speed and compared it to the posted speed limit. It creates a more secure and effective road conditions by alerting drivers or autonomously slowing down vehicles if they go above the limit. Because of the system’s flexibility, speed restrictions may be enforced correctly and consistently even if posted speeds and traffic circumstances fluctuate in real time. This work shows how machine vision methods may be used to make roads safer & congestion management more effective.
