Introduction of the Rudiments of NLP: A Survey of Methods and Approaches to Natural Language Processing

This research paper introduces the rudiments of Natural Language Processing (NLP). NLP is a subfield of artificial intelligence (AI) that interacts between computers and human language. It entails analysing, processing, and generating human language to enable computers to understand and generate it. It involves developing machine learning algorithms and computational models that enable machines or computers to understand, analyse, and generate human language. NLP uses various applications involving machine translation, sentiment analysis, speech recognition, text summarisation, and question-answering systems. It relies on linguistics, computer science, mathematics, and statistical techniques to extract meaning from human language data. NLP has not only benefitted computer science and artificial intelligence; it has had a significant impact on language learning also. This paper discusses the applications of Natural Language Processing in various fields and the impact that NLP has created in the English language learning process.
