摘要

Assisting paralysed persons with daily activities is one of the most challenging issues in the field of medical science. Because to recent advancements in Internet of Things (IoT) technology, it is now possible to create inexpensive, user-friendly assistive devices. The suggested technology, which is based on the Internet of Things, enables hand gestures as a means of communication for those with paralysis. Using a combination of hardware and software components, the system recognises and decodes hand gestures, interprets them, and then performs the appropriate actions. A glove with flex sensors that can recognise hand gestures and movements serves as the system’s main piece of hardware. Before delivering the data to a server, the microcontroller board (like Arduino) that receives it from the sensors processes it. The system’s software is made up of a mobile application that receives the gestures that have been decoded from the server and performs the necessary actions. The server analyses the data and recognises the connected movements. The mobile application may perform a variety of activities, including alerting attendees and leaving voice messages, and can be customised to the patient’s specific needs.
