Social Media Battles: Weaponization of Digital Discourse

It has become clear that the news landscape has changed dramatically due to the crisis in Ukraine, with social media playing a pivotal role in this new information environment. Not many countries have imposed restrictions on this worldwide audience, with notable exceptions like Russia banning Facebook and Instagram and prohibiting Twitter. Even with these caveats, social media is still a powerful medium for both news and misinformation dissemination.
