She Reports: Women Journalists and Their Unique Warfare Narratives

There’s an adage that goes, “Everything we know about a war we know with ‘a man’s voice’”. This was first uttered by Belarusian author Svetlana Alexievich, who spent hours listening to women recount their experiences in the Soviet Army during World War II. Yet, this maxim, originally conceived to describe the experience of war from decades ago, still holds a piercing relevance in today’s conflict-ridden Ukraine.
