摘要

The research adopted analytical and synthesis methods, field surveys combined with the rapid rural assessment approach involving the participation of local people, and the SWOT assessment method to investigate the current state of livelihood models in A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue, that are adapting to climate change. The study aimed to identify sustainable livelihood models that could be replicated and applied to minimize the impact of natural disasters such as floods, landslides, droughts, and cold snaps. The findings showed that although several simple agricultural and agro-forestry methods, such as Forest-garden-garden-barn, have been formed in A Luoi district, their economic effect is not high. The recommended livelihood models that can be replicated and applied include Home garden-forest trees, Home garden-fruit trees, Forest+burn-overland or grazing land+Field, Garden-Pond-Barn, and Forest-Garden-Pond-Barn. These results will aid local leaders in formulating solutions for sustainable socio-economic development.
