Policies for Motivating Students to Learn

Motivation is a process that continuously motivates, directs, and sustains action. Motivation plays an important role in human activities. In other words, motivation is the factor that motivates people to act to satisfy a need. Motivation to learn creates a source of strength, a powerful source of energy that makes the subject act and maintain actions to achieve results. There are many factors that affect students’ motivation to learn such as the capacity of the lecturers, teaching methods, learning resources, content, training programs and learning environment, and the learning itself. Students also have a significant influence on their learning motivation. In order to create more motivation and encourage students to study when participating in training and retraining courses, universities need to take some appropriate measures. In order to promote students’ motivation when participating in training and retraining courses at training and retraining institutions, each lecturer needs to understand the learning and research needs of students. To build a friendly and scientific learning environment, with modern and rich facilities to meet the needs of students, teachers need to innovate teaching methods in the direction of enhancing learners’ active learning.
