Clinical Lacanian Neuropsychoanalysis

  • John Dall’Aglio

摘要

This chapter applies a Lacanian lens to Solms’s clinical neuropsychoanalytic model. It also formulates Lacanian technique (especially punctuation and scansion) in neuropsychoanalytic terms as provoking surprise. I describe how psychoanalytic (including Lacanian) intervention utilizes PLAY to modulate deeply automatized predictions. Additionally, I propose a model of Lacanian neuropsychoanalytic clinical formulation and intervention along the lines of symbolic reduction. Repressed predictions (S1s) may be doomed to repeat, but an encounter with the antagonism at the core of one’s predictive models—predictive destitution—may open flexibility in how they repeat.
