Evolving and Modifying TDVY Approaches
摘要
In this chapter, I examine the possibilities of adaptation and access using my TDVY performances Hubbub, Splash!, and Over, Under, All Around (2021) as case studies. Informed by both the COVID-19 pandemic and the need for audience inclusive performances, I detail the necessary adaptations for creating virtual TDVY performances that are live, interactive, and personalized to each audience. I also offer guidance toward designing outdoor TDVY performances that utilize distance, audience agency, and community spaces as assets to the structure. I highlight how these modifications are woven throughout the entire research, rehearsal, and performance process.
