Losing Sight

I first heard about Wendy in September 2016 and it was the very same day that I saw a picture of her for the first time. The soft features of her teenage face, a hesitant smile and vivid, deep black eyes. The news portal Infobae published an article with the headline “Another abduction! Wendy the teenage girl from Villa 1-11-14 disappeared again!” It was written by my old friend Julian, who I had met years ago during my research in Buenos Aires’ punk and hardcore scene.
