A Multimedia Display Technology for Terminal of Shipborne Radar Based on Programmable Pipeline

In the whole-ship integrated computing system, the radar data is shared and processed for terminal display. To enhance the multimedia display effect of radar data, a multimedia display technology is developed based on the programmable pipeline processing method using the GL Shading language (GLSL) which are designed based on texture mapping to utilize different media instructions to realize the PPI display of radar video and the data comes from the DMA with PCIE. The proposed method enriches the display effect of shipborne radar terminal and makes the display control more flexible, which is valuable to meet the requirements of real-time display and control of the commander of the ship. The images of the radar terminal display with different functions are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
