Case Study of a Monitoring Energy Consumption Device at a Residential Area
摘要
In these most recent years, energy consumption has emerged as the most important concern. Consuming more electricity is a contributor to the rising energy demand, which is one of the variables impacting the increase in energy consumption. According to the statistics, one of the most significant contributors to overall energy consumption is the residential sector. In addition, the widespread outbreak of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), which is occurring right now all over the world, is having a significant influence on the energy industry. Energy is one of the most important factors in Malaysia's efforts to achieve its growth and development objectives in a sustainable manner. Through the years, substantial strategic planning has gone into ensuring the long-term viability of energy resources, and energy policies have been devised following an in-depth analysis of both the supply of energy and the demand for it in the present and the future, by making sure that the resources, especially the energy, are used effectively. We can save energy, which will lead to a decrease in the output of energy and, as a result, a reduction in the amount of carbon dioxide emissions that are produced. To determine the need for an energy monitoring device to be implemented in residential areas, the researcher has held an interview session and distributed questionnaires. The purpose of this study on energy monitoring devices in residential areas is to provide an indicator and raise consumer awareness regarding energy consumption.
