A Delphi Study to Identify Important Green Port Indicators for Dry Bulk Terminals in Perak
摘要
As the volume of cargo handled at seaports increases, the issue of ensuring the long-term sustainability of seaports has become an important topic at the international level. As this is a new initiative in Malaysia, very limited studies on green port can be found in the open literature. Since ports or terminals can be divided into several specializations, it is imperative for the port authorities and operators to produce their own guidelines to enable them to identify the actions that are required to be taken to achieve a green port status. Hence, the objective of this research is to identify the important green port performance indicators for dry bulk terminals by using the Delphi technique, as handling dry bulk cargo is considered one of the most challenging activities for the surrounding environment. The significant output of this research is to produce a conceptual framework on the degree of importance of a set of green performance indicators for dry bulk terminals.
