摘要

By 2050, it has been predicted that the gases released by air conditioners will be responsible for 27% of all global warming. This paper develops a green technology-based automatic cooling roof system for building applications. An automated control system maintains the indoor temperature independently of exterior weather conditions in the building, mainly the house. The Atmega328P with 32 kB in-system programmable flash memory, 1 kB EEPROM and 2 kB of internal SRAM turns on a sprinkler system and a fan to cool the building when the interior temperature rises above a predetermined level. If the temperature falls below a predetermined threshold, a heater is activated. In the Malaysian climate, the cooling mechanism is projected to operate significantly more frequently than the heating element. This system is cheaper and uses less energy than an air conditioner as it does not require an electrical compressor. This project uses green technology, using water as its cooling source. Since most air conditioners use fluorocarbons as their refrigerants and can prevent global air pollution, the project's long-term development would greatly benefit from installing a fire alarm and a heating system. Results reveal that the system provides a straightforward, reasonably priced way to create a comfortable home environment while reducing energy use.
