Material Considerations for Full Arch Implant-Supported Restorations
摘要
When creating full arch fixed implant-supported restorations, a variety of materials are available for selection. Options for materials range from monolithic machined zirconia to a conventional acrylic titanium prosthesis. Newer materials and manufacturing techniques are being incorporated into these therapies as technology advances, but there aren’t any explicit rules for framework design and material selection. This chapter aims to help clinicians make informed and consistent decisions for patients requiring fixed implant-supported restorations. A number of factors such as screw access, restorative space, opposing dentition, aesthetics, framework design, and fabrication processes affecting the decision process will be discussed.
