Fifth Lecture Nuclear Orbits
摘要
One of the most important problems in nuclear physics is the following: knowing the number of protons and neutrons that constitute a given nucleus, calculate the binding energy of the latter, in its ground state. It is, of course, possible to broaden the program contained in this statement and propose to determine, in addition to the binding energy, all other quantities related to the nucleus in question, such as intrinsic angular momentum, magnetic moment, and so on.
