摘要

This monograph investigates the interiority and experiences of male Bangladeshi-Canadian youth, exploring the intersecting codes of belonging, class, ethnicity, masculinity, religion, and migration. It examines how these youth navigate the integration of Islam and neoliberalism within the diaspora setting, and how their masculinity trajectories are shaped by recuperative processes. The study also uncovers the phenomenon of unprocessed intergenerational trauma among Eastern Bangla baby boomers, which influences their parenting and masculinity expressions. The research highlights the subjective and context-dependent nature of these experiences, and the importance of intersectionality in understanding the complexities of diasporic masculinities.
