  • Mustahid Husain

摘要

This chapter explores the class formations and lived experiences of Bangladeshi-Canadian diaspora families in Canada, focusing on their challenges, coping mechanisms, and social transformations. It delves into the emotional and psychological risks faced by these transnational families, shedding light on the limitations of existing migration and transnationalism theories. The chapter examines the perks and hardships of urban living, the evolving roles of women in the workforce, and the changing dynamics of marriage and divorce within this community. Through empirical evidence, it highlights the significant cultural, legal, and economic factors influencing the diaspora’s adaptation process, providing insights into the complexities of their transition and integration into Canadian society.
