Advancing Synchronization for Grid-Integrated Renewable Energy Systems: A Comprehensive Overview and Comparative Assessment

Within this study, four frequently utilized synchronization algorithms designed for Inverters, serving as the power conditioner in grid-connected renewable systems, are outlined. It includes in depth analyses of the algorithmic structures, complemented by detailed explanations through corresponding block diagrams. The research scrutinizes the behaviors of these algorithms, with a specific focus on their reactions to voltage imbalances, frequency variations, and voltage harmonics. Additionally, a comprehensive discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of each algorithm is provided, supported by a thorough analysis of simulations conducted using MATLAB/SIMULINK.
