Proteus ISIS Modeling and Experimental Validation of a Photovoltaic Tracer Based on Boost Converter
摘要
The current-voltage tracer is helpful for analyzing and reproducing the characteristics of photovoltaic (PV) generators under various weather conditions. Therefore, it can be used in assessing the performance of PV panels and pinpointing any system issues. Several tracer topologies with inherent weaknesses exist in the literature, including increased circuit complexity and non-smooth characteristics. This paper suggests a straightforward approach to solve these problems by introducing an I-V tracer design using a boost converter, implemented using Proteus ISIS software. Afterward, experimental validation is conducted to confirm the simulation results. The key findings reveal a significant agreement between simulation and experimental results, demonstrating that the designed PV tracer enables smooth and accurate PV characteristics.
