Transforming ERP Systems for Supply Chain Management: Designing a Machine Learning-Based Framework to Overcome Implementation Challenges

To address enterprise resource planning (ERP) difficulties and enhance supply chain management (SCM), this paper proposes a framework for the integration of machine learning (ML) into ERP systems. We propose practical guidelines and steps to systematically implement ML solutions in the context of ERP through a mixed method that includes questionnaires and interviews with managers and experts in the field. To overcome the challenges encountered by 60 Moroccan companies being questioned about their experiences with ERP implementation especially High costs, system complexity, and staff training as the most common issues, a framework has been designed to help consultants, managers, ERP integrators, and employees successfully implement and derive maximum benefit from ERP in the SCM context.
