Disruption Factors Framework for Logistics Risk Management

Logistics plays a vital role in the economy and supply chains; companies highly rely on its activity and aim to ensure an effective logistical ecosystem for optimised results. However, these activities face serious challenges in the presence of disruptions, and they can lead to serious and strict issues for recovery or responsive decisions. Researchers have examined logistics companies or supply chains through various methods to investigate the behaviour during disruptions. However, numerous disruption factors arise in many industries, making the risk management protocols more complex. This paper contributes to developing a framework from the literature to identify disruption factors in the context of logistics and analyse these factors and their relationships. The framework and discussions enable new aspects for future research to understand the complexities among the disruption factors and the impact level between them.
