New Treatment Approaches in Non-Muscle-Invasive Bladder Cancer
摘要
Non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) accounts for two-thirds of all BC cases. NMIBC is further classified into disease subtypes based on the morphological appearance and nuclear grade, probability of response to treatment and progression stratified as low, intermediate, and high risk. In 2018, The US Food and Drug Administration published a guidance document for treatment of BCG-unresponsive NMIBC codifying a registration pathway and rapidly accelerating drug development. In this chapter we discuss these new treatments applied across the spectrum of NMIBC disease states.
