The main objective of this study is to investigate how companies perceive and put into practice energy-related issues such as conserving energy, using energy efficiently, adopting energy sources, and storing energy. To achieve this, the researchers systematically analyzed the reports of a selected group of businesses. They used codes derived from a literature review on energy management strategies. The findings reveal that among the 50 businesses analyzed, the topic frequently mentioned in their reports was “the use of renewable energy.” This indicates a level of awareness of and consideration for energy sources within these companies. The second addressed theme was “energy efficiency,” further highlighting the importance placed on optimizing energy usage. The study emphasizes the necessity for approaches to enhance sustainability and competitiveness in organizations. It underscores that effective energy management involves facets and requires strategies. By contributing to the existing knowledge on energy management, this research provides insights into current practices, challenges faced by companies, and potential opportunities. Furthermore, this study sets the stage for advancements in this field. It encourages scholars to delve into understanding how various contextual factors influence awareness and implementation of energy management in different organizational settings.
