Energy and environmental sustainability in industrial production processes are linked to both operational process management and technology management. It is a critical role to develop potential energy savings, especially for significant energy users, by considering individual responsibility within enterprises for sustainability. Therefore, an effective training program can be seen as a means of acquiring the desired behavior for individual responsibility. Corporate sustainability, particularly in energy management, is closely linked to individual responsibility. This study introduces the concept of energy efficiency behavior, which aims to promote individual responsibility for energy efficiency. The study examines behavioral ability, with a focus on the responsibility taxonomies of individuals entering the labor market. It evaluates the results of an application program and analyzes the desired behavioral effects separately. Additionally, a field study was presented, which takes operational parameters into account to assess the impact of skills in a textile business. The study evaluated the energy efficiency potential based on 37 criteria. It was found that operational management in the business achieved a gain of approximately 9.8% depending on these criteria. The gains were evaluated at the end of the study, and suggestions were developed regarding individual responsibilities and their effects.
