Neurodiversity—Delivering Inclusive Learning on the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship
摘要
Accademia is not a secret, world of indecipherable language, theories and concepts understood by only a gifted few. It can be accessible to all those with enquiring minds, and a thirst for knowledge. The Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) programme at the University of the West of England (UWE) recognises that successful student learning can be best achieved by using a range of pedagogical methodologies with the aim of parity of learning outcomes for all students. This chapter does not claim to speak as the voice of neurodiversity within higher education, but rather to offer insight from a personal viewpoint of being neurodiverse and a senior lecturer on UWE’s PCDA programme.
