The chapter aims to provide a conceptual review of the role of digital technologies in building smart sustainable cities and smart infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The chapter explores how digital technologies can be leveraged to address sustainability challenges, including energy consumption, transportation, and waste management. The main objective of this chapter is to examine how digital technologies can be integrated into urban planning and development strategies to promote sustainable development in the UAE. To achieve this objective, the chapter will employ a case study methodology.
