Conversely, new CEs may believe that there will be extensive training and supportSupport provided by the university related to course design. However, counselor educators often find that this is not the case, as many are left with a copy of an old syllabus and well wishes before being thrown into the learning environment. This chapter will provide new counselor educators with practical strategies for how to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and quality instruction in the learning environment.
