Towards Transparent and Ethical Coffee and Cocoa Supply Chains: Integrating Blockchain, Encrypted-RSA NFTs, and IPFS

This research presents a system integrating blockchain, smart contracts, Encrypted-RSA NFTs, and IPFS to address the challenges of transparency and ethics in coffee and cocoa supply chains. Through comprehensive analysis and testing on EVM-compatible platforms, we evaluate the system’s ability to secure data transfer, maintain integrity, and streamline operational processes. The findings indicate that our approach can significantly improve traceability and confirm ethical sourcing from producers to consumers. By offering a detailed view of the system’s implementation and fiscal impact, the study provides evidence of the practical benefits such a model can offer to the coffee and cocoa industries. The proposed system sets a new standard for supply chain management, aligning economic efficiency with ethical supply chain practices.
