Neurodegeneration
摘要
Neurodegeneration is a broad category of neurological illness that implies an underlying pathological process of primary neuronal destruction in the central nervous system, which furthermore does not seem to have an obvious external cause and is progressive. Because of their prevalence, this chapter focuses on Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. The epidemiology, classification, and clinical course of this group of illnesses are covered here. A discussion examining the potential pathogenesis of these illnesses and their related illnesses based on genetic, molecular, and pathological preclinical and clinical studies is also discussed.
