The Legacy of Lacaille

Fomalhaut is the brightest star in this often sparsely-starred sector and is very frequently mentioned in science fiction. It is the home system of the Dorsai warriors, as well as of Ursula Le Guin’s Rocannon’s World. In reality it is a young, extremely dusty system, which may or may not host an equally dusty planet. This sector hosts numerous planets of varying types, including one that may be completely molten, another with no atmosphere, and a system where two planets recently collided.
