The River of Stars

This sector is dominated by the constellation Eridanus, and the mythological origins of this cosmic river of stars are outlined. In this constellation, the nearby very dusty Epsilon Eridani system contains at least one planet plus two asteroid belts. Ursula Le Guin’s classic novel The Dispossessed is set on a double planet in the Tau Ceti system, another well-known star in this sector, and we speculate whether such twin planets can really exist.
