The chapter begins with a brief tour of the distant constellation Orion, along with one of its brightest stars Betelgeuse, due to explode quite literally at any moment. This sector contains Teegarden’s Star b, an exoplanet that is potentially one of the most similar known to Earth. The use of numerical simulation of planetary formation as a way to constrain the possible range of habitable planets is described.
