Managing Labour Migration: Solutions Related to the War in Ukraine as a Lesson in the Age of Climate Migration

Humans have been migrating for hundreds of thousands of years for climate-related reasons (Armitage et al. in Science 331:453–456, 2011; deMenocal and Stringer in Nature 538:49–50, 2016). IOM, 2013, p. 13). Quantifying environmental migration is challenging given the multiple drivers of such movement, the methodological challenges involved and the lack of data collection standards.
