Environmental Whistleblowing: an Opportunity Not to Be Missed

The starting point of this paper concerns the constitutional reform through Constitutional Act no. 1/2022 relating to article 41Article 41 Italian Constitution and article 9Article 9 Italian Constitution of the Italian Constitution. The new formulation of article 41 on the freedom of economic initiative establishes that “it cannot be carried out in violation of social utility or in such a way as to harm health, the environment, security, freedom and human dignity”, while article 9, amended by the same law, establishes that the Republic “[…] protects the environment, biodiversity and ecosystems, also in the interest of future generations”.
