Soil microorganisms have the potential to significantly increase soil fertility since they function as natural regulators and catalysts in the soil, transforming nutrients into easily absorbed inorganic forms. Microorganisms are an essential and fundamental part of living soil, contributing to various biogeochemical cycles of key nutrients such as nitrogen, carbon, sulfur, the mineral phosphorus, and other elements. Moreover, they are maintaining soil health than do other biological components. They can also prevent soilborne diseases, which tangentially boosts agricultural output. Applications of nanotechnology are beginning to have a major impact on agriculture. Because nanofertilizers are quickly absorbed by plants, they promote plant development more effectively than conventional fertilizers. Therefore, nanobiostimulants such as nanofibers, nanofertilizers, and nanopesticides have the potential to revolutionize the agricultural industry. Nanoparticle applications have great potential. Nevertheless, tailored metallic nanoparticles can have both positive and unfavorable effects on microorganisms. Therefore, further research on modified nanoparticles is required to explore their potential applications as environmentally friendly field agents. This chapter explains how nanobiostimulants act as a cutting-edge technique to increase plant productivity.
