摘要

Bioeconomy means production of food, services, products, and other essential requirements of humans by the utilization of natural and renewable resources. Its aim is to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels. It creates economic opportunities, prevents changes in climate, and makes the resources more efficient. Bioeconomy introduces the term biostimulants and biononstimulants, which refer to microorganisms or substances that help in the overall development and growth of plants without literally acting as fertilizer. These biostimulants are generated from plant waste or animal waste and are then collected and formulated for their easy application in plants. Bioeconomy encourages this as it is sustainable, is cost saving for farmers, and gives a positive environmental impact. In the study of bioeconomy, secondary metabolites synthesized by microorganisms are used as biogenic nanoparticles. These nanoparticles are highly efficient when applied in industries such as wastewater treatment plants and are capable of digesting the biological compounds produced. They are very feasible to produce as well as very economical. This article deals with the benefits, applications, and potentials of the bioeconomy in developing a sustainable environment as well as the risks associated with it.
