摘要

Nanobiostimulators may boost crop yields and reduce environmental impact, making them popular in agriculture. This chapter discusses the environmental effects of nanobiostimulators, including benefits and risks. Nanobiostimulators offer several environmental benefits. Enhancing plant nutrient absorption can reduce chemical fertilizer use. This can reduce soil and water contamination caused by excess fertilizer runoff. Nanomaterials can also boost soil health by increasing microbial activity and organic matter. This improves soil resilience and carbon sequestration. Nanobiostimulators improve plant stress tolerance, allowing crops to survive drought and salt. This boosts food security. Using nanobiostimulators to boost agricultural output might reduce land conversion and greenhouse gas emissions from deforestation. However, nanobiostimulators raise environmental concerns. Nanoparticle deposition in soil and aquatic habitats may have long-term ecological effects. Due to the potential for nanoparticle toxicity in non-target species, rigorous analyses are necessary to minimize accidental ecological harm. Testing and safety standards are essential for nanobiostimulators due to their complex regulatory environment. This chapter suggests several ways to use nanobiostimulators safely. The above measures include environmental risk assessments, soil and water quality monitoring, and ecosystem well-being assessments. Environmentally friendly nanobiostimulators are also researched and developed. Environmental safety requires clear regulatory norms and standards. In conclusion, nanobiostimulators can alter agriculture, but they must be used carefully. Through rigorous research, comprehensive monitoring systems, and effective regulatory frameworks, nanobiostimulators can be optimized while minimizing their environmental impacts. This strategy aims to usher in a sustainable and ecologically friendly era in agriculture, ensuring food security and environmental protection.
