Organizational Leader’s Perspective on Embedded Behavioral Health

This chapter explores embedded behavioral health (EBH) from an organizational leader’s perspective. It addresses the military leadership framework via doctrinal leadership competencies across services, description of military rank structure, and application of each to the levels of leadership. This chapter specifically emphasizes how organizational leaders and commanders can benefit from collaboration with their organic embedded behavioral health assets. A case study on command-EBH integration provides a real-world example, and the chapter closes with recommendations from an organizational line commander.
